Inferring

I have been working on developing the Comprehensive Literacy Model during my language block. I have created a few lessons using my favorite mentor texts and author Chris Van Allsburg. Some of my favorites are The stranger, Two Bad Ants, The Widow's Broom, and The Sweetest Fig, I started with the Common Core Standard 4.RL.1 & 5.RL.1, Sudents need to be able tor refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.
